We’ve always been interested in homeware and textiles. When we first thought about starting a company, we did a lot of research into the industry and discovered that protecting our environment wasn’t exactly their priority.
Whilst this didn’t come as a huge surprise, we were surprised to discover that there were other fabrics available that were significantly less damaging to our surroundings. We decided to explore this area and in 2012 we formed a homeware company that would stay true to four key principles:
Sustainability
It’s probably no surprise that we are believers in the principles of karma. The idea that your actions today will influence what comes tomorrow. We want to help make our planet a better place for tomorrow, and introducing sustainable textiles into retail is a good place to start. Fabrics like bamboo have several renewable qualities but are also great fabrics to use in homeware. It may not be revolutionary, but we think it’s a step in the right direction.
Affordability
In many industries, the reason why things are done in a certain way is because of price. We’ve found that the textiles industry really is no different. At the moment sustainable and organic fabrics tend to be more expensive to produce, and for that reason alone they are overlooked by the many.
We want to educate people about the alternative, sustainable fabrics that are out there. That’s why we do our best to offer these products at affordable prices.
Style
We design our pieces to stand the test of time, and for us, less is certainly more. Just because we are a company with ethical roots, we certainly don’t sacrifice on style. In fact, making sure our products look beautiful is one of the most important things, otherwise you wouldn’t want them in your home, and neither would we.
Quality
Regardless of price, we make sure all our products are well put together. We want you to be proud to have our products in your home, for you and yours to enjoy for years to come.
